The students of Coimbatore Agricultural University created awareness among the farmers about the schemes being implemented on behalf of the Agriculture Department.
Tiruppur: Final year students of Coimbatore Agricultural College at Chinnaveerampatti near Udumalai in Tiruppur district created awareness among the farmers about the schemes being implemented by the Agriculture Department for agriculture.
They collected soil samples and tested the soil through a mobile soil testing station and trained the farmers to apply nutrient fertilizers according to the deficiencies in it.
Kalaignar's All Village Integrated Agriculture Development Programme was also highlighted.
Assistant Director of Horticulture, Deputy Block Development Officer, Seed Inspector and Agriculture Officer participated in the meeting and gave information related to the department.
