Coimbatore: A one-day training cum demonstration programme on “Organic and Natural Farming†was organized by Nammazhvar Organic Farming Research Centre, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, in tie-up with Gajaananda Trust at Madhampatti

Guest of honour Padmashree Pappammal delivered a special address on traditional farming practices.
Dr M. K. Kalarani, Director, Crop management, TNAU felicitated the gatherings and encouraged the farmers to shift towards organic farming considering human health and restoring soil health.
Dr. R. Krishnan, Professor and Head, Nammazhvar Organic Farming Research Centre, TNAU briefed on the scope and importance of organic and natural farming to the participants.
Technical sessions on organic inputs preparation, pest management in organic and natural farming system, and organic terrace gardening were delivered by Dr. E. Parameswari, Dr. M. Suganthi and Dr. P. S. Kavitha, the scientists working at Nammazhvar Organic Farming Research Centre.
