Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore offers a one-day training on 'Beekeeping' every month at the Department of Agricultural Entomology in Coimbatore. The training for the month of August 2022 will be imparted on August 8 from 9 am to 5 pm.
Hands-on training will be imparted on various essential aspects of Beekeeping such as:
* Identification of bee species and social organization of bees.
* Rearing Indian bees in boxes, general and seasonal management.
* Bee forage, yield increase of crops through cross-pollination.
* Honey extraction.
* Enemies and diseases of bees and their management.
Those interested in attending the one-day training on 'Beekeeping' need to be present at the Department of Entomology, TNAU in Coimbatore at 9 am, show an ID proof and remit the training fee of Rs.590 on the day of the training.
