Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore has signed an MoU on June 24 with the Centre for Applied Climate Sciences, University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Australia for research collaboration on 'Enhancing Climate Change Adaptation Process for Farmers and Agri-business' under the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF).

The Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi is funding TNAU and the Australian Government is providing funds to USQ. Under this project, TNAU will strengthen its research capacity on climate modelling, weather forecasting and crop insurance.
