Pollachi: The Tamil Nadu Agriculture University students held training for the farmers in Perumpathi village in Pollachi on crop management.
The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore students are undergoing the Rural Agricultural Work Experience(RAWE)-0+20 program in Pollachi North block.

They arranged the farmer meeting for 3 hours at Perumpathi village, where the farmers from Zamin Kaliyapuram, Aathiyur, and Perumpathi hamlets gathered.

A demonstration on beekeeping, coconut climber, metarhizum anisopilae, carbofuran application for banana, coconut dehusking machinery and poron was organised.
Participants were introduced to honey production, less labor dependency harvesting mechanism, bioinsecticide principle, pre-emergence insect or nematode control in banana, less labor dependency dehusking of coconut and tick control in the cow by applying acaricides respectively.

The farmers benefitted from both interaction and technologies demonstrated, and the students were encouraged by the response of the farmers.
