Pollachi: The final year TNAU students are involved in the Participatory Rural Appraisal program in Kulathupudur village in Anaimalai.
A team of 11 final year students studying Undergraduate Agriculture at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore are engaged in rural agricultural training in Anamalai. As a part of this, with the participation of the villagers in Kulathupudur village, they created awareness through social maps, urban maps, problem trees, timelines, chapati maps and daily work schedules containing public places such as agricultural lands, water bodies, banks, schools etc. in the village.
The purpose of village assessment is to know the village system and what more facilities should be created for the village to prosper. The people of Kulathupudur village who participated enthusiastically came to know the details of the structure of their village through maps.
