Isha Agro Movement organizes traditional veterinary medicine training in Thanjavur

The training workshops include sessions on making natural inputs; cultivation methods for paddy, sugarcane, banana and coconut; as well as pest management training. Till date, more than 12,000 farmers have been trained.


Coimbatore: Isha Agro Movement conducted traditional veterinary medicine training at Thanjavur Nadesams Vizha Pozhil Wedding Hall in Thanjavur yesterday.



Professor of Veterinary Medicine Na. Punniamurthy conducted the training. More than 150 farmers from 16 districts enthusiastically participated and benefited.

The session included traditional treatment methods for various diseases affecting livestock such as cattle, sheep and poultry. The use of kitchen ingredients and garden herbs in preparing traditional medicine were explained, in order to save time and cost for farmers and improve profit margins.

Isha Agro Movement is actively working to transform Tamil Nadu into a natural farming state. Launched by Sadhguru under the guidance of Nammazhvar, the movement has been conducting workshops in natural farming methods in different districts of Tamil Nadu since 2015.
