TNAU Soil Scientist Conferred with National Fellow by ISSS

Directorate of Natural Resource Management, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore has been conferred with “Fellow of Indian Society of Soil Science (ISSS)”, New Delhi at the 85th Annual Convention of ISSS held at Visva - Bharati, Sriniketan, West Bengal on 16.11.2021 for her outstanding contribution in “Soil Test Crop Response & Integrated Plant Nutrition System (STCR-IPNS)” research over 25 years.


Coimbatore: Dr. R. Santhi, Director (DNRM) & Professor (Soil Science), Directorate of Natural Resource Management, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore has been conferred with “Fellow of Indian Society of Soil Science (ISSS)”, New Delhi in the 85th Annual Convention ofISSS held at Visva - Bharati, Sriniketan, West Bengal on 16.11.2021 for her outstanding contribution in “Soil Test Crop Response & Integrated Plant Nutrition System (STCR-IPNS)” research over 25 years.

During that period Dr. R. Santhi has developed STCR-IPNS based fertilizer prescriptions for major Agricultural & Horticultural crops which has been released as “TNAU Management Technology” and released “DSSIFER2010& 2020” updated computer software for providing soil test and yield target based fertiliser prescriptions to various crops and also preparation of “GPS and GIS based Soil Fertility Maps and Nutrient plan” for 11 districts of Tamil Nadu.
