Plowing work intensified for rainfed cultivation in Kinathukadavu due to southwest monsoon

Due to the continuous intensification of the southwest monsoon, plowing activities have intensified for rainfed cultivation in Kinathukadavu.


Coimbatore: Farmers in Kinnathukadavu area of Coimbatore district are happy with the southwest monsoon rains for the past three weeks. Due to the increase in moisture in the arable land due to the monsoon, farmers are actively engaged in plowing the field with tractors to cultivate rainfed crops. Farmers said maize, sorghum and groundnut will be cultivated for this monsoon.
