Fourth year undergraduate agricultural students at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) visited the farmers from the regional revenue villages in Anamalai to acquire rural agricultural training experience.
Coimbatore: Fourth year undergraduate agricultural students at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) visited the farmers from the regional revenue villages in Anamalai to acquire rural agricultural training experience. Meanwhile the students also imparted agricultural technical training to farmers.

During the field work, the TNAU student gave a demonstration to the coconut grove farmers on using tonic for coconut trees.
The students said that " It has been suggested that applying 200 ml of tonic to a tree twice a year at six-month intervals will increase the yield of coconut by 20 to 30 % and reduce the incidence of blight, disease and pest infestation.
