Over 99 farmers join the certificate course by TNAU at Aliyar Coconut Research Center

Officials said that with this certificate course will create a good business opportunity for many.


Coimbatore:TNAU Open and Distance Education Program organized a certificate course in the technologies used in production of Coconut trees.

TNAU Chancellor Kalyana Sundaram, TNAU Open and Distance Education Program Director Abadan, Organiser Rajamanikkam participated in this event which happened at the Aliyar Coconut Research Center and addressed the gathering.



Over 99 farmers, undergraduate bachelor's, Industrialists, school and college teachers and retired government staff's took part in this certificate course.



During the event officials said that "knowledge on how to manage water supply, tackling of insects and pests and operating with high end technologies will be shared. With this knowledge the production of Coconut is expected to rise. Also this certificate course hasdetails and practical classes on how to handle modern technology in farming which also includes an industrial visit."

Officials said that with this certificate course will create a good business opportunity for many.
