CM will implement several farmer welfare schemes in memory of Farmer leader Narayanasamy - Minister SP Velumani

Coimbatore: Minister SP Velumani ssaid CM will implement several farmer welfare schemes in memory of Farmer leader Narayanasamy.

Minister SP Velumani, and officials and farmers' union officials paid floral tributes at the memorial of farmer leader Narayanasamy Naidu in Vaiyampalayam, Coimbatore district, on his birthday. Later, Minister SP Velumani said that Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy had built a Mani Mandapam for Chief Minister Narayanasamy and declared his birthday a state function. He added that it was the AIADMK government and the Chief Minister would implement all his plans.

He said, "To our pleasant surprise yesterday, we did not expect the Chief Minister to write off Rs 12,500 crore in agricultural loans in the Assembly knowing the farmer's struggle. It is because of such actions that Edappadi Palanisamy is said to be the chief minister who is accepted by all sections of the people. While the opposition leader was sitting in his and was only being a man of words, the Chief Minister met the people directly and saved the people from the coronavirus. I am happy that the event was being celebrated today for the first time as a state function."

He said, "Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy is said to be the living Kamaraj who will carry out Narayanasamy Naidu's plans. The missed out parts of the 70-year-old Athikadavu-Avinashi project would be included in Phase II, and action would be taken and the government would release it soon."

The minister declined to comment when reporters asked about the first meeting of the Pattali Makkal Katchi leader Ramdas this evening and the party meeting to be held in the evening,
