I don’t know what provisions of farm reform law affects Punjab Haryana farmers, as TN farmers don’t seem to have an issue with it - ‘Sadhguru’ Jaggi Vasudev

Sadhguru then said that the state must be given power to make amendments to the law if they feel that the corporate companies will be undertaking agriculture.

Coimbatore: Founder of Isha Foundation ‘Sadhguru’ tweeted that apprehensions of farmers with regard to the new agricultural reform bill should be assessed on a more region to region basis.

"Farmer apprehension in the wake of the Farm Bills must be assessed on a region to region basis. Together with the farmers, state leadership must assess and address these needs. A collaborative effort is the only way forward" said Sadhguru in his tweet.

Along with his tweet, Sadhguru tweeted a video byte where he said " I don't really understand why the farmers from Punjab and Haryana are upset about the new farm bill as I don't see farmer's from Tamilnadu upset about the act.

I have spoken to many farmers regarding this but no one seems to be upset about the new agricultural reform act in Tamilnadu."

Sadhguru, founder of Isha Foundation said that people and farmers from other regions and states of the nation may have specific concerns about the act and that the government is not able to function properly due to the protest where a lot of people and farmers are in suffering.

He then said that the new agricultural act must be made as a recommendation to the nation and the benefits of the actlike infrastructure, investment, development works, employment offers etc should be explained to the state representatives.

He also said that the state must be given power to make amendments to the law if they feel that the corporate companies will be undertaking agriculture.

He then said thatit is unfortunate to see so many people suffering unnecessarily because of a large scale misunderstanding on both sides. The issue can be solved as a collaborative effort which is the way forward.
