Coimbatore: As a part of pongal celebrations "Namma Ooru Sandhai" is scheduled to happen in Coimbatore on January 10th at Government High School, Cross-cut road, Gandhipuram. This event begins at 10 in the morning to 3 in the evening.

Namma Ooru Sandhai plans to exhibit traditional rice and millet varieties, Wood pressed oils, Palm jaggery, organic sugar and many other grocery items.

Vegetables, fruits, country chicken, duck eggs, traditional sweets and savoury varieties, pickles, medicinal tea and other home remedy products are also to be sold at the Namma Ooru Sandhai.

At the Namma Ooru Sandhai apparels for both kids and adults, Personal hygiene products, Vetiver products, clay mud vessels, wooden toys, bamboo products and many other products which are close to nature and hearts are scheduled to be made available.

With a free entry for Namma Ooru Sandhai, food courts and fresh juices counters are also made available.

Organisers at Namma Ooru Sandhai have requested the visitors to bring their own vessels and cloth bags to buy oil and other items.
