Bird Flu outbreak in Kerala! Vehicles entering Tamilnadu via Kerala are being sanitized

Bird Flu which spreads via poultry and ducks is on the rise in the Kerala districts of Kottayam and Alappuzha.


Coimbatore: Bird Flu which spreads via poultry and ducks is on the rise in the Kerala districts of Kottayam and Alappuzha.

As a prevention method, to contain the bird flu from entering Tamilnadu, the Government Veterinary preservation department has set-up multiple checkposts near Pollachi to sanitize the vehicles entering Tamilnadu from Kerala.

Checkpoints are set in the areas of Gopalapuram, Govindhapuram and Meenakshipuram with a team of veterinary doctors, officials are other assistants.



Pollachi Sub Collector Vaidhiyanathan inspected the checkpoints and witnessed the sanitization process.



He then ordered the officials to sanitize every vehicle that comes from Kerala.

Officials say that the process is going to continue until the bird flu outbreak is contained in Kerala.
