Online Training Programme on “Weather and Climate for Common man” to be held at TNAU; registration open

Coimbatore: A training programme on “Introduction to weather and climate from common man’s perspectives” through online mode has been planned during June 17-26, 2020 by the Agro Climate Research Centre (ACRC) of TNAU.

According to a release, the weather-based agro advisory bulletins have been issued to the farmers by ACRC, so as to enable them for taking appropriate farm decisions.The weather and climate related information is not only making impact on farmer’s livelihood but also common people like students and other common public. Hence, it is essential for everyone to know about the basics of weather and climate.

"With this in the background ACRC has designed the online training programme for duration of 8 days during which three class room hours will be conducted every day (excluding Saturday and Sunday)", it noted.

Eligibility

The minimum qualification for enrolment will be + 2 or diploma. As it is planned to organise training programme for 100 participants only, priority will be given on first come first served basis. The online classes will be conducted through Google Meet app and hence enrolled participants are requested to subscribe a Gmail account.

Training fee

A training fee of Rs. 200 is to be remitted to the SBI Account 31606418668 with an IFSC code: SBIN0002274 and the details of payment may be intimated at 9486186076 or email to [email protected].

The interested candidates are requested to enrol one or before 15.06.2020.
