Swachh Bharat Awareness Camp organised at TNAU

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's Crop Management Movement organised a Swachh Bharat cleaning drive by joining hands with all the departments to clean the surroundings at the foothills of Marudhamalai, at the temple premises and footpaths, on Thursday.

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's Crop Management Movement organised a Swachh Bharat cleaning drive by joining hands with all the departments to clean the surroundings at the foothills of Marudhamalai, at the temple premises and footpaths, on Thursday. 



With the help of Integrated Farming Program under the Department of Agronomy and the National Organic Farming Program under the Department of Agro-Organic Farming, over 100 Doctorate in Agriculture holders, PG students, versatile professors and other staff collected non-degradable plastic, glass bottles, polythene bags, silver foil parcels, packing covers and so on, from morning till noon at the entire Marudhamalai campus and handed it over to the Corporation. 



Director V Geethalakshmi, Marudhamalai Deputy Commissioner, Menaka, Professor Chinnamuthu, Latha, Somasundaram, Ramanathan, Jeyakumar and Janci Rani supervised the cleanliness drive even as students laboured to clean and create awareness amongst the public, shopowners and pilgrims.
