TNAU to host one-day training on Bee Keeping on Sep 6

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is offering a one-day training on Bee Keeping, every month, at the Department of Agriculture Entomology, TNAU, Coimbatore. The training for the month of September will be held on 6th between 10 am to 5 pm.

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is offering a one-day training on Bee Keeping, every month, at the Department of Agriculture Entomology, TNAU, Coimbatore. The training for the month of September will be held on 6th between 10 am to 5 pm.

Hands on training will be imparted on various essential aspects of bee keeping such as the identification of bee species and social organization of bees, rearing Indian bees in boxes, general and seasonal management, bee forage, yield increase of crops through cross pollination, honey extraction and processing, information of enemies and diseases of bees, and their management.

Those willing to undergo the one-day training will have to enroll at the Department of Agriculture Entomology before 9 am and remit Rs.590 on the day of training.
