Coimbatore: The District Collector, K Rajamani announced details of the special camp to be held in the city where the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) will be issued to farmers in Coimbatore.
The farmer's loan card known as the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) is provided in all nationalised and co-operative banks. This plan offers loan up to Rs 1,60,000 without any insurance and up to Rs.3,00,000 with land insurance to the farmers. The duration of the KCC is for five years. For the farmers of the city who do not have KCC but possess land ownership, they can get the KCC from the nationalised banks and the agricultural co-operative banks during the special camp organised by the Agriculture and Banking sector which will be held from the third week of July till the end of August.
Livestock farmers and fish farmers can also avail this card. To get a KCC, the applicant should submit the land ownership document, xerox copy of the Aadhaar Card and Bank Savings Book along with the application. Within two weeks of receiving the application, the KCC will be provided to the farmer. The District Collector has requested farmers with land ownership to make use of this opportunity.
