Coimbatore: The TBI-ABIS-R-ABI Centre launched its two-month Agripreneurship Orientation Program. It was inaugurated by Dr. N Kumar, the Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) at the Directorate of Agribusiness Development.
Coimbatore: The TBI-ABIS-R-ABI Centre launched its two-month Agripreneurship Orientation Program. It was inaugurated by Dr. N Kumar, the Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) at the Directorate of Agribusiness Development.
After screening young graduates with innovative ideas to start an agribusiness venture, about 20 aspiring agripreneurs were selected for the two-month training program, with a stipend of Rs.10,000 per month. The training period is from June 26 to August 25 at TBI, DABD, TNAU in Coimbatore.

Trainees after successful completion of the two-month training program will be screened and recommended to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, New Delhi for a grant of upto Rs.5 lakhs. The event was graced by Dr. A S Krishnamoorthy, Registrar, TNAU, Dr. S D Sivakumar Director (ABD), Dr. S Venkataramanan, Lead District Manager, Canara Bank, Coimbatore, A V Gnanasambandam, CEO - TBI and TNAU's University Officers.
