If the irrigation is done with the help of well and bore well water, a huge amount of water will go wasted. But if farmers can adopt the drip irrigation method by being aware of its benefits, they can farm productively. Hence, we have fixed targets to implement the Micro irrigation scheme in every village.
Each Deputy Director has fixed targets (i.e. the number of Micro irrigation) for each village and every agriculture or horticulture official will work, based on these targets. Farmers who have well or bore well can contact their agriculture or horticulture officer and get inputs regarding Micro irrigation,” noted the Chief Secretary.
