Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is offering a one-day training on Bee Keeping on April 8 at the Department of Agricultural Entomology. Hands-on training will be imparted on the following subjects:
ï‚· Identification of bee species and social organization of bees
ï‚· Rearing Indian bees in boxes, general and seasonal management
ï‚· Bee forage, yield increase of crops through cross pollination
ï‚· Honey extraction and processing
ï‚· Enemies and diseases of bees and their management
Those interested can contact the Department of Agricultural Entomology at their own cost before 9 am on April 8, and remit Rs. 500. Training timings: 10 am to 5 pm. A certificate will be given to the participants at the end of the training.
