Horticulture Department to conduct vocational training program

Coimbatore: The Horticulture Department is to conduct a vocational training program to benefit unemployed youth.

Coimbatore: The Horticulture Department is to conduct a vocational training program to benefit unemployed youth.

According to the release from the District Collector, T N Hariharan, the training will be provided for 15 persons in the vocational training program conducted by the Horticulture Department. The training program will pay a great benefit to the unemployed and underprivileged youth. For gardener, the applicant should have completed Class 10 or 12 along with a Diploma in Horticulture. 

This training program will help youngsters to gain employment. After completion of the one year training, certificates will be issued after passing the online test. The certificate is reportedly a good tool to help one secure jobs in the State or Central government, as well as in foreign countries. 15 persons will be provided training along with a monthly scholarship of Rs 7000.
