Bengaluru : The State Government will use software to deal with applications seeking regularization of unauthorized cultivation on government land.
Bengaluru : The State Government will use software to deal with applications seeking regularization of unauthorized cultivation on government land.
Revenue Minister R.V. Deshpande told reporters on Friday, that the government will accept requests from persons on regularization of unauthorized cultivation till March 16, 2019. Such persons, however, have to make their requests in form 57 to the Tahsildar concerned.
“Tahsildars will register all these Form 57 applications in Form 58 according to seniority. Those who have already submitted Form 50 and Form 53, need not apply again. The same is applicable to applications that have been rejected in the past, too” the Minister said.
The move is expected to help thousands of people who have been cultivating on government plots for years. The Minister also said that the government is developing a software to scan and collate all form 57 applications and process the requests.
“It will help us to know the date of submission, movement of applications, the date of submission before the committees and their decisions. This will bring in transparency in processing applications,” the Deshpande said.
The Revenue department, the Minister said, has disposed 2.56 lakh files during its file disposal week organised from November 12 to 18. All revenue department offices including the Minister’s office, Secretariat functioned on November 18, Sunday as a part of the effort. Deshpande said that the department will evolve different strategy to clear the remaining files.
