Coimbatore : The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University stated that tomato prices may go up during the next two months. There will be a huge arrival of Brinjal and bhindi (Lady’s finger) to the State.
Coimbatore : The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University stated that tomato prices may go up during the next two months. There will be a huge arrival of Brinjal and bhindi (Lady’s finger) to the State.
According to a statement from TNAU, the price of good quality tomato during November – December will be Rs.17-20 per kg. Good quality of brinjal price will rule around Rs.23-25 per kg and good quality of bhendi price will rule around Rs. 21-23 per kg.
The TNAU has been analyzing prices of tomato, brinjal and bhendi that prevailed in Oddanchathiram, Trichy, Madurai and Coimbatore Uzhavar shandies for the past 12 years. The University has advised farmers to take necessary sowing decisions based on the prices.
