Chandigarh: The Punjab government has decided to organise special training programme regarding Food Safety Standards & Regulation Act 2006 in month of July.
The proposed training program would be organised for the assistant food commissioners, food inspectors, and designated officers of the health department.
The state health and family welfare minister Brahm Mohindra said that the training intends to provide the relevant insights about food safety, standards, food safety management systems and related legal provisions under this Act.
He said that this training would also impart a complete understanding of Schedule 4 of FSSR Act 2006 in which experts would provide the detail information of key terminologies on Food Safety Systems, Food Safety Hazards (Physical/Chemical/ Microbiological/ Allergens), overview of Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 and Rules & Regulations 2011.
