A total of 93,036 students who had completed Ph.D, M.Phil, Arts, Social Sciences, Science courses in the academic year 2021-22 and 2022-23 from Bharathiar University were conferred their degrees and felicitated by the Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi.
Coimbatore: Governor R N Ravi conferred a doctorate on music composer and actor Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi at the 38th convocation of Bharathiar University in Coimbatore on Saturday.

The 38th convocation ceremony of the Bharathiar University was held in its campus in Marudhamalai, Coimbatore. A total of 93,036 students who had completed Ph.D, M.Phil, Arts, Social Sciences, Science courses in the academic year 2021-22 and 2022-23 were conferred their degrees and felicitated by the Tamil Nadu Governor, R N Ravi.

Since the convocation ceremony was not held last year, Bharathiar University felicitated students of two academic years.

The Tamil Nadu Minister for Higher Education Ponmudi, Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council Member Sanjeev Sanyal, Government of India and several University officials were present at the convocation event which lasted for about one-and-a-half hours as the degree was awarded for both the academic years together. Music composer and actor Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi also received his PhD at the convocation ceremony.

The convocation ceremony's start was delayed since the Governor's flight from Chennai was delayed by about an due to the pilot's ill-health. Owing to this unprecedented delay, the convocation ceremony had to be concluded without the Governor and Minister's address to the graduates.
