Coimbatore: 30th Annual Regional Level TASNACAM Arts and Culture Competition was organized by the National Nurses Association at Ganga College of Nursing, Vattamalaipalayam, Coimbatore.

The guests of honour at the event were given a red carpet welcome and band drums parade.
The pigeons were let to fly high as a sign of harmony. All the college vice-presidents who participated under the leadership of Fifth Zone Coordinator Dr. Esther John took the oath of office with utmost respect to the expert.
Rama Rajasekharan, trustee of Ganga College of Nursing, welcomed everyone at the function.

Dr Jayasudha, the fifth zone in-charge of the Tamil Nadu branch of the National Nurses' Association, and Dr. Jaini Kemp, National Vice-President, explained the theme of the conference, the set of challenges for the development of nursing students.
Under the guidance of Tamil Nadu State President Dr. Ani Grace Kalaimathi, the 30th Annual Zonal Competitions of The Tamil Nadu Nursing Students' Association tasnakam were held by College Principal Dr. Esther John, who is the programme coordinator of the fifth zone.
About 1200 registered nursing students from 35 nursing colleges and schools in Coimbatore and The Nilgiris district participated in 16 different individual and group competitions such as hairstyles, vegetable carving, kolam making, speech, dance and essay competitions.
Dr. Esther John, Principal of Ganga College of Nursing, read out the report of the event as the student leader of Ganga College of Nursing delivered the welcome address at the closing ceremony held in the evening.
Kavithasan, Director, Roots Company, was the chief guest and spoke about the vitality of nurses' service in times of medical emergencies.
Jayasudha, the fifth zonal coordinator of the National Nurses' Association, released the zonal statement.
The winners of each match were announced according to the assessment of the combined referees. The best college was selected according to the jury's decision and was awarded the Supernova Trophy.
The contestants from various colleges enthusiastically informed that competitions and programmes had been organized in a special way in the college to bring out the skills required to work with the character of the challenging nursing sector of this time.
