Coimbatore: On Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Karpagam College of Engineering in Coimbatore, the Department of Computer Science and Design conducted a workshop titled "Diving into Metaverse".
Dr. M. Jaganeesh, the department's head, and G. Shivaji Rao, the coordinator, overseen the inaugural event.
There were about 60 students participated in this event.
As the main speaker, S.P. Dinesh covered subjects including virtual reality, augmented reality, and block chain in his enlightening workshop on metaverse. The Chief Guest, who has an abundance of experience in the Metaverse, shared his knowledge and insights with the guests, giving them insightful information about the technology.
The workshop was a great success, and the students actively engaged in the discussion and posed inquiries to the resource person. The occasion gave the students a chance to learn about the most recent developments in technology and how they can be used in a variety of industries, making it both educational and inspirational.
The launch of the Computer Science Design Association took place later in the afternoon session. It aims to promote the interests and welfare of the department's students by organising a variety of functions, workshops, and activities. The launching ceremony function was opened with a prayer song and a heartfelt welcoming speech by student G. Sriragav.The MOC of the whole event was beautifully led by the studentsS.Rajkumar and S.Riffath. The Presidential Address was given by the Principal Dr. P.Karthigaikumar.
The Chief Guest was introduced by the Head of the Department Dr. M.Jaiganesh and honoured by the Principal with a Memento. A Motivating Special Address was given by the Chief Guest S.P.Dinesh and he happily launched the Computer Science Design Association “D-ZEPHYRSâ€. The Office Bearers of the Association were introduced by the Event Co-ordinator G.ShivajiRao followed by a Vote Of Thanks designated by the student G.Lakshmi Priya. Finally, the event concluded with the National Anthem.
