Admissions open now in TN Agricultural university: 33 Masters, 28 doctoral disciplines for 2023-24!

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has announced the commencement of admissions for 33 Masters and 28 Doctoral disciplines in 11 campuses for the academic year 2023-24. Starting from 19th April 2023, the applications will be accepted until next month. This is a great opportunity for students to advance their education and knowledge in agricultural studies.



Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University announced on Wednesday that applications for 33 Masters and 28 Doctoral disciplines in 11 campuses for the academic year 2023-24 will be accepted from today (19.04.2023) till next month.



Candidates can apply using the portal URL https://admissionsatpgschool.tnau.ac.in/, which will be open until midnight on May 15, 2023.

Students who have completed an M.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture and an M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering can apply for doctorate programs by uploading their Provisional Degree Certificate. Students in their last year of undergraduate studies can upload previous semester mark sheets issued by their competent authorities. The eligibility and other queries are provided in the brochure released today which will be uploaded on the website.



V.Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor of TNAU, stated that 500 postgraduate seats and 250 doctoral seats are regularly allocated for current admissions. As part of promoting cultural diversity, students from all around the country study in this university, which has a 30% reservation under the All India Quota.

It was announced that, due to the success of the fellowship system launched the previous year, it will be continued further. It offers postgraduate students with Rs.10,000 per month and research scholars with Rs.20,000 per month. Last year, the fellowship scheme helped 575 students. Additionally, top doctorate scholars benefit from international research collaboration in nations such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Israel, and Canada. In addition, FMC India has regulated a fellowship of Rs.40,000 for the Department of Entomology and Pathology.

She added, "Unlike the delay in the start of classes last year, we have decided to open the session by July 15." After the release of the 12th grade results on May 5, the admissions portal will open for applications on May 7 and remain operational for one month. The shortlisted candidates will be notified of a counselling session and will be enrolled as soon as possible.

The first semester sessions are set to start on 15 July without additional delay. Following the subsequent filing of reservation seats by all India rankings, a condensed semester examination would be held concurrently with the following semester without regard to curriculum.
