Accordingly, the work for the year 2023-24 has already started. In the Coimbatore district, the census to determine the number of children without school education work started 4 days ago. Teachers, trainers, special teachers, volunteers and school management committee members are involved in this census.

Education officials said, “Enumeration of children who do not go to school has started in full swing across 15 districts including Coimbatore. More than 150 members are involved in this work. In this, it is ordered to go through the streets and enumerate without eliminating any residence and to record the accurate numbers.

In order to find out the students who have dropped out of school, teachers of that school are taking a survey by going to the respective schools and getting the details of how many people have come and left the school midway. All the information collected in this survey is properly documented and uploaded to the mobile app named Survey. They upload photos of students who have dropped out of school. Also, steps are being taken to include the rescued children in nearby schools. Accordingly, 500 children have been rescued in the last 4 days. Steps are being taken to continue to educate them in the upcoming academic year.”
