A sum of Rs.2 lakh was handed over to district collector Kranthi kumar Pati on behalf of The Park Education Group as contribution to SC/ST farmers under Kalaignar's All Village Integrated Agriculture Development Programme in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Hundreds of SC/ST farmers are benefitting under Kalaignar's All-Village Integrated Agriculture Development Programme.
Under this scheme, the farmers are provided with inputs, battery sprayers, agricultural equipment, tarpaulin, etc., at subsidised rates. The farmers have to pay a part of its price.
On behalf of the farmers who could not pay the share, the Bar Education Group donated Rs 2 lakh to the Coimbatore collector.
This will benefit 128 farmers. The cheque for the amount was handed over to Coimbatore Collector Kranthi kumar Pati by Anusha Ravi, Chief Executive Officer, Park Education Group.
RAAC Raveendran handed over a cheque of Rs 60,000 to the collector for the project. Safi Ahmed, Joint Director, Department of Agriculture, was also present on the occasion.
