The Government Arts College for Women at Puliyakulam in Coimbatore has planned to start 11 new courses from next year. College principal Veeramani said that the courses will be started once the new buildings are ready as there are not enough classrooms.
Coimbatore: The Government Arts College for Women in Puliyakulam will start 11 new courses from next year, college principal Veeramani said on Tuesday.
The Government Arts College for Women is functioning at Puliyakulam in Coimbatore. There are more than 650 students studying in this college.
He is currently pursuing his B.A. from this college. Tamil, English, B.Com, B.Sc. Courses including mathematics and computer science are being taught.
It has been decided to start 11 new courses in the college from the next academic year.
College principal Veeramani said,
At present, 11 new courses are planned to be started in this college. It is planned to start 5 post-graduate courses and 6 ug courses.
Accordingly, M.A. Tamil, M.A. English, M.Com, M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. Postgraduate courses including mathematics and B.Sc. courses. Political Science, B.Sc.
We are planning to start courses including physics, chemistry, botany, zoology.
The college is presently functioning in a 9-room old corporation school. Since there are not enough classrooms here, we are conducting classes in shifts.
Now P.G. We don't have enough space to start projects. So we are planning to start new courses there once the new building is ready.
A new building will be constructed for the college by next year. The government has allocated Rs 13 crore for it.
