Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) Coimbatore has recently signed two MoUs with industrial partners, Master Linens Inc. (Karur) and United MEP Projects and Engineering Services (UMPESL, formerly Voltas Textile Machinery Division).
Coimbatore: Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) Coimbatore has recently signed two MoUs with industrial partners, Master Linens Inc. (Karur) and United MEP Projects and Engineering Services (UMPESL, formerly Voltas Textile Machinery Division).

The event was presided over by A. Pavendhan, Associate Dean-Textile Cluster-KCT and saw the exchange of MoUs on 17th March and 23rd March 2023 respectively.
The MoUs have been established with the aim of structuring a protosem for Textile and Fashion Technology students and providing them exposure to techniques such as Digital Printing, Needle Punching, Garment Cutting and Flat Knitting.
In addition, Master Linens Inc. has already begun absorbing students from the Fashion Technology Department for their internship in Industrial Engineering and Merchandising.
The success of this venture is expected to bring about an array of opportunities for students in the field of Textile and Fashion Technology.
