The rally aimed to create eye health awareness and was conducted by the Karpagam Faculty of Medical Science and Research's Department of Optometry in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: The Department of Optometry, Karpagam faculty of Medical Science and Research, Coimbatore organised a rally in the town to create awareness on eye health for the public in the city.

The rally started from Malumichampatti and ended at the EAVO office, Chettipalyam Road on Thursday.

Latha Sundaram, Founder and Managing Trustee, 'Aram Foundation' Charitable Trust, Dr. Ranganathan Medical Superindent, Sivakumar, General Manager, AHS coordinator Ramkrishnan, AHS teaching faculties, non-teaching staff, volunteers and students of allied Health Science and Nursing participated in the rally that was held on the main roads of the city.

The Chief Guest, Latha Sundaram addressed the gathering and shared her insights and experiences, while also participating in the rally.
Allied Health Science students performed a thought-provoking and enlightening mime on 'Eye Health Awareness.' Flyers and pamphlets were distributed to the general public and placards were held by students during the rally to create awareness. At the end of the event, refreshments were distributed to everyone who attended the rally.
The Chief Guest also thanked everyone for making the rally a success, with the college management assuring that it would organise more awareness programs in the future.
