Students thanks Isha Foundation For Scholarships

Expressing gratitude for supporting them in their education, one of the tribal students said, “We come from poor economic backgrounds, and we would not have been educated without Isha's help. Thanks to Sadhguru we are able to study.”


Coimbatore: A program to provide educational support to the poor children on behalf of Isha Outreach was held yesterday (March 19) at Shivanga Cottage in Isha. Students from villages nearby Isha Yoga Center along with their parents participated and shared their experiences.



Expressing gratitude for supporting them in their education, one of the tribal students said, “We come from poor economic backgrounds, and we would not have been educated without Isha's help. Thanks to Sadhguru we are able to study.”

Sajitha, a student from Nallurpathi tribal village detailing her journey explained, “I studied from Class I to Class XII in Isha Vidya School on full scholarship. Now I am in second-year B.Com CA at Avinashilingam College. It is only because of Isha's scholarship that I have not only continued my schooling but also my college studies. Apart from the scholarship, they train us for government exams like TNPSC, and SSC through Isha. My desire is to become an IAS. I am preparing myself for that. All this is happening because of the grace of Sadhguru. I express my heartfelt thanks to Sadhguru and Isha."

Similarly, Nandini from Mullangadu tribal village said, “I have no father and mother. My aunt and my grandmother took care of me. With Isha's help, I studied in PSG School, Coimbatore from 6th to 12th standard in a hostel. Now I am studying in my third year at Kalaimagal College, Coimbatore. Without Isha's help, I would not have studied. Thanks to Isha."



The principal of Coimbatore Isha Vidhya School Savithri, Kalaimagal College Principal Mala, Administrator of 'Mugavari' Trust, Ramesh, Isha Brahmachari Swami Aloka attended as special guests and presented the scholarship cheques to the students.



Isha is supporting the students living in nearby Thondamuthur villages in various ways in addition to providing them with educational assistance. The Isha Vidhya School in Sandegoundanpalayam, Coimbatore provides all the facilities like education, food, and transportation free of cost to the tribal children.



Students going to schools and colleges from remote hilly villages where there is no transport facility are provided daily transport by Isha vehicles. Also, school students are trained to write the NMMS exam and receive an annual scholarship of Rs.12 thousand.

Apart from this, coaching classes for students aspiring to crack government exams is also conducted. Prema Kumari, a student from the hilly village of Thanikandi, is also being helped to prepare for the NEET exam.



The students are also training in Bharatanatyam and folk dance to augment their artistic talent.
