Students from various departments took an active part in the camp and donated blood. 41 units of blood were collected during the blood donation camp, and all the donors who participated in the camp were duly appreciated.
Coimbatore: Karpagam Institute of Technology's KIT-NSS unit, YRC, RRC and Rotaract Club organised a blood donation camp at the Karpagam Hospital in Coimbatore. Students from various departments took an active part and donated blood. The blood donation camp was coordinated by Dr. S Gopinath.
The hospital was staffed by K Arun, the Public Relations Officer of Karpagam Hospital. K Arun provided advice and highlighted the importance of blood donation, explaining why it is vital.

KIT's NSS volunteers educated first-time donors at the camp about the need for blood and the importance of donating blood annually to assist those in need of blood.
They stressed on how blood donation can save the lives of innumerable persons, more so people who have been in accidents. They highlighted blood donation as a tremendous service to society.
